ARRA - The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) authorizes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide reimbursement incentives for eligible professionals and hospitals who are successful in becoming “meaningful users” of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology.
PatientNOW expects to meet certification requirements for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and HITECH. FINAL Certification requirements for HITECH were released on December 31, 2009.
PatientNOW is fully CCR compliant (exchange data with hospitals, EMR systems and info repositories), e-prescribing, electronic claim submission and clinical data submission.
