“My EMR/PM System is Saving Me Time and Money – You need to know this when evaluating EMR / PM systems”
I was shopping for an EMR/PM system and noticed that ASPS had recently endorsed patientNOW as a provider to our Society. This is a specialty EMR and PM system designed specifically for plastic surgeons. The president and founder of patientNOW, Jerry Jacobson, visited my office in New York and explained that he had worked in a plastic surgeon’s office for 2 years while building the patientNOW software to meet the needs of an aesthetic practice. I think he nailed it.
I purchased patientNOW to replace my old practice management software and my staff and I are glad we did. We are currently in training and every day my staff comes to me with another way that the patientNOW system will save us time and money. For example, Lisa who is our point person on the front desk showed me the automatic appointment reminder system in patientNOW and said that this feature alone will save her 6 hours a day. Imagine what she can do with that time and not have to call all of those patients every day.

One of the features that I’m especially excited about is the document management system that will allow my office to go paperless and to scan all of our old charts into patientNOW. It’s not uncommon for me and my staff to spend considerable time trying to find a particular chart in all of the clutter. With patientNOW I can now find any chart easily and can look at the chart from home or the hospital.
This is very cool and easy to use software.
